Laser displacement sensor is a commonly used high-precision measuring device that can be used to measure information such as displacement, distance, and shape of objects. In the classification of laser displacement sensors, there are two common types: single point and multi-point.
1、 Single point laser displacement sensor
Single point laser displacement sensor refers to a sensor that can only measure the displacement or distance of one point simultaneously. This type of sensor typically uses a single laser beam to illuminate the target and calculates the position of the target by receiving reflected light. Single point laser displacement sensors have the advantages of high measurement accuracy and fast response speed, and are suitable for situations that require high-precision measurement.
2、 Multi point laser displacement sensor
Multi point laser displacement sensors can simultaneously measure the displacement or distance of multiple points. This type of sensor typically uses multiple laser beams or scanning lasers to cover multiple areas of the target, and receives reflected light signals through multiple receivers. Multi point laser displacement sensors have the advantages of wide coverage and high measurement efficiency, and are suitable for situations where multiple point displacements need to be monitored simultaneously.
3、 The difference between single point and multi-point laser displacement sensors
1. Measurement method: Single point laser displacement sensors can only measure the displacement of one point, while multi-point laser displacement sensors can measure the displacement of multiple points simultaneously.
2. Coverage range: Single point laser displacement sensors have a narrower coverage range, while multi-point laser displacement sensors have a wider coverage range.
3. Measurement efficiency: Multi point laser displacement sensors can obtain data from multiple points at the same time, resulting in higher measurement efficiency.
4. Cost: Multi point laser displacement sensors are usually more expensive than single point laser displacement sensors.
When choosing a laser displacement sensor, it is necessary to determine whether to use a single point or multi-point laser displacement sensor based on specific application requirements. Single point measurement is suitable for high-precision single point measurements, while multi-point measurement is suitable for situations where multiple point displacements need to be monitored simultaneously.
