Overhead cranes are the main lifting and hoisting equipment in large factories and workshops, commonly found in large manufacturing industries such as metallurgy, papermaking, and building materials. In large workshops, multiple overhead cranes typically operate simultaneously on the same track, handling heavy workloads. Collisions between cranes often occur due to delayed braking, severely impacting production efficiency and even causing employee safety accidents.

The overhead crane anti-collision device measures the distance between overhead cranes on the same track in real time, and can also detect the distance between the overhead crane and the track end in real time. It sets safety alarm distances, controls the overhead crane to decelerate or stop, and promptly notifies the operator to pay attention to the crane spacing. It is an indispensable and important safety device for safe overhead crane operation. Beowing offers a wide range of single-point lidar modules, unaffected by ambient light or other interference sources. The largest model has a detection range of up to 350m, measurement accuracy down to the centimeter level, and a maximum detection frequency of 1000Hz. Designed for pure industrial applications, it has an IP65/67 protection rating and provides stable and reliable ranging results for the overhead crane anti-collision device.
