Industry & Project Overview
In large manufacturing workshops such as metallurgy, papermaking, and building materials, multiple overhead cranes often operate under high load on the same track. Traditional manual operation is prone to collisions due to judgment delays, affecting both production efficiency and personnel safety. To address this issue, an intelligent collision avoidance system uses millimeter-wave radar and vision fusion technology to monitor the distance and operating status of the overhead cranes in real time. When a collision risk is detected, the system automatically triggers tiered warnings (audible and visual alarm → deceleration → emergency braking), achieving a rapid response within 50ms. Simultaneously, by combining scheduling algorithms to optimize the overhead crane's operating path, the collision accident rate is reduced to below 0.1%, ensuring continuous operation safety and improving overall production efficiency by more than 25%.
